FASS has a great team of volunteers who man our phone lines, maintain the clothing project and are generally the first face that visitors see when they visit our premises.
Our Volunteers are highly valued and we understand they help to build a warm and friendly environment for anyone visiting our premises.
We also have Outreach Volunteers who regularly attend Aftercare Recovery Groups throughout Glasgow, providing information on FASS, ensuring that family members who are attending these recovery groups to support their loved one's are aware of the supports available to them.
Our newest addition of volunteers are our Peer Naloxone Trainers, who delivery our training on Naloxone. Naloxone is a life saving drug that can reverse an opiate overdose. Our trainers travel the city delivering training to family members and services that may come into contact with someone at risk of an opiate overdose. click for more information
Our volunteers also help promote FASS and the services that we provide at various events throughout the city.
Many of our volunteers have lived experience and are understanding of the issues that arise due to alcohol or drug problems.
If you are interested in volunteering for FASS please complete our interest form and our Volunteer / Group Coordinator will contact you to discuss this further.
