Respite Breaks

FASS has been providing respite breaks to families affected by a loved one's drug or alcohol problems for over 25 years and we believe that respite breaks should be accessible to everyone.

Through Partnership with The Caravan Project we can access respite breaks for our group members and individual clients. These breaks are for 1 week and cost families £250 for the week (plus £50 refundable deposit).

The caravans are situated at Craig Tara and the price includes free transport, a fruit and veg bag and discount card giving families 15%  discount on site. Please note that these caravan's in Craig Tara are owned and managed by The Caravan Project.

The caravans can sleep up to 6 people and have central heating, a modern kitchen with a hob, oven and microwave spacious lounge with a television, DVD Player and digital TV and patio space.

Some of our Support Groups and Kinship Groups also have caravans at various locations.

Access to Caravan Respite breaks are only available to members of one of our Support Groups or current clients.

If you would like to apply for a break at one of the caravan please caravans please contact FASS on 0141 420 2050 or

Day Trips & Events

We understand that for a lot of our members having something to look forward to or just a break away from everyday life can make such a difference. This is why we try to arrange various events and outings whenever possible.

We have organised many events including day trips to Blackpool, visits to Schoenstatt, Christmas lunch and regular participation involving our members in  community events such as Recovery and AFFIT (Alcohol Free Function In Town) Events to name just a few.

For more information on any events that we are holding please see our Events Page ...
